TOUR 1: Prague Gay Night : Bars & Clubs Tour

We are starting the tour from the Old Town and walk in to FRIENDS gay Bar/Disco club. A cosy bar on one of the typical Prague streets that lead you in labyrinths in the Old Town district. With mixed crowd, groovy chilled dance beats form various Djs, friendly atmosphere, a wide projection screen. Then we go to ESCAPE TO PARADISE gay escort/bar/dance club. Striptease shows of horny czech boys will stimulate your fantasy and the Sex shows will make your heart beat intensively. After we go on to the Gay District of Prague: Vynohrady to check out LATIMERIE gay bar with a pleasant interior, mixed younger crowd, inexpensive drinks. After we go on into the very heart of the gay District of Prague where gay life boils! We check out the SAINTS gay bar with a pleasant atmosphere and international crowd. After Saints we go on to TERMIX gay bar/club. One of the oldest gay clubs in Prague with predominantly younger and international crowd, with a wide bar and a small dark rooms area. Vibrant hi-pitch popular hits music and house grooves. After Termix we continue our Prague Night Tour to one of the newest clubs: G ELEMENT gay dance club and bar. One of the nicest  and very modern, newly opened club, younger guys/men, but never crowded. After G Element we end up in the biggest Gay Club of Czech Republic : VALENTINO – 3 floors : 1 bar, 2 DanceFloors, 2 Dark Room areas. Here we enjoy a variety of drinks for very accessible prices, dance the night away and have more than just enough fun! The advantage of Prague gay scene and clubs is that most are free of entry fee ! Also there are more than 50 gay places : including: Bars, Clubs, Cafes, Pubs, Cinemas, Shops, Cruising Areas and Saunas. To check out all – we’ll need much more time than 1 night or day!

TOUR 2:  Prague Old Town (Stare Mesto)

 Mentioned in 1091, it is the oldest of the towns of Prague and gained the privileges of a town in the 13th century.  The centre of the Old Town has always been the Old Town Square dominated by the Church of Our Lady before Týn and the Old Town Tower. We start the tour at NAMESTI REPUBLIKY in front of the POWDER GATE tower.

After a quick look at the MUNICIPAL HOUSE , (the main Art Nouveau building in Prague which includes Bedrich Smetana Concert Hall), we proceed along CELETNA STREET.  Celetna street is a part of the royal coronation route of Czech kings that ends at PRAGUE CASTLE.  The street is decorated with many house signs and artistic symbols just like NERUDOVA STREET.  Probably the most famous building in Celetna street is HOUSE of THE BLACK MADONNA. It was the first cubist building in Europe and houses a permanent exhibition of Czech Cubism as well as Czech and international art (go back and enjoy a drink at the unique Cubist Café !). One of the houses on CELETNA is connected with the youth of the most famous Czech writer Franz Kafka and you will learn of other interesting stories and legends connected to these houses.

Next you arrive at one of the most famous and amazing squares in Europe – OLD TOWN SQUARE. Here we’ll visit the CHURCH OF OUR LADY BEFORE TYN that dominates one side of the square. By the way it’s the final resting place of the great astronomer Tycho Brahe who worked together with J. Kepler. The Gothic exterior houses a Baroque interior. It was founded in a period when the Hussites were being slaughtered by the ruling Catholics. We’ll see here the glorious JAN HUS’ MONUMENT. Next we’ll see the MEMORIAL to 27 PROTESTANTS who were killed in the OLD TOWN SQUARE during the 30 years war, and find out their story. After we’ll see the famous ASTRONOMICAL CLOCK strike on the hour and hear it’s mystical legends. After a quick visit to the spectacular St.NICHOLAS Baroque CHURCH (hosts many concerts) we explore some of the side streets off the square and these include Parizska (most elegant street in the city disecting the JEWISH QUARTER), Marianske Namesti, Husova, Michalska streets.  Finally we learn about the history of BETLEMSKE NAMESTI and it’s CHAPEL (BETLEMSKA KAPLE) famous for Jan Hus’ preaching there. Before ending the tour with a well-deserved drink at Café Café (some of the best cakes in the city !). Now you are just a few minutes from Mustek and ST. WENCESLAS SQUARE.

TOUR 3: Little Known Prague

Discover the less visited and unusual sites of Prague! This tour takes you to some of the less well-known parts of Prague and you will learn some interesting facts and see some surprising sites.We start the tour at the DANCING HOUSE just opposite the Jiraskuv Bridge.

We then walk up the heel,we pass the SS. CYRIL and METHODUS Orthodox CHURCH, later we proceed to one of the oldest squares of Prague: the Charles Square to see the CHURCH of ST. IGNATIUS of LOYOLA.   Here Damyan will tell you the lifestory of the Founder of the most powerful religious order: The Jesuits. St. Ignatius of Loyola. After we go down to the PALACKEHO SQUARE and admire the beautiful MONUMENT of FRANTISEK PALACKY. After we pass the spectacular MINISTRY OF HEALTH building which frames beautifully the EMAUZY CHURCH and MONASTERY viewing from the Zitkovy Gardens and park side. We pass the MEMORIAL TO 9 VICTORIOUS SONS of PRAGUE and walk up the hill to The Emauzy Monastery Na Slovanech, founded by the famous emperor Charles IV. The Abbey of The Virgin Mary and St. Jerome is probably the most unusually designed church of Prague with its sharp twin spires ascending to the skyes. This valuable representative of Prague modern/premedieval architecture is supposedly haunted by the Emauzy Devil !

On the way to the Vysehrad Cultural Complex we pass the OLD CUSTOMS HOUSE (PODSKALI) and the original CUBIST VILLA at VYTON. Next we visit the most ancient site of VYSEHRAD CASTLE (second most important Royal residence of bohemian kings) on the hill overlooking the river and central Prague. The VYSEHRAD FORTRESS was the place of  the Princess who has founded The City of Prague and the Premysl Kings Dynasty. The traditions of this mysterious site are bound up with many legends that you will hear from Damyan. It offers visitors one of the most beautiful urban panoramas of bygone Europe, several exhibitions, a summer stage, quiet parks for relaxation, and true cultural and spiritual inspiration.  After visiting the fascinating  ST. PETER & PAUL CATHEDRAL we pass along  the Vyšehrad Cemetery and Slavín  where over 600 leading Czech and Slovak personalities from the worlds of culture and education are buried (A. Dvořák, B. Smetana, K. Čapek, A. Mucha). Then we pass to , ST. MARTIN’S ROTUNDA, the CHAPEL of OUR LADY of the RAPARTS, the remains of ST. LAWRENCE BASILICA, J.V MYSLBECK’S STATUARY, the remains of the OLD ROMANESQUE BRDGE and the OLD BURGRAVE’S RESIDENCE with it’s vineyards and terrase over ramparts overlooking the spectacular southern Vltava river side.

TOUR 4: Full Day Prague Orientation Tour

Depending on your schedule and your interest Damyan offers a Prague Highlights Tour including Best of Prague sights. It can be customized according to your wishes (as for exemple if you’ve been to some of the sights that the present tour contains, they can be replaced with other places of interest which are close to it’s route, as follows: CHURCH of OUR LADY VICTORIOUS, KAKFA’s MUSEUM,  MUNICIPAL HOUSE, THE POWDER TOWER, MYSLBEK CENTRE, WENCESLAS SQUARE, EQUESTRIAN STATUE of ST.  We start this tour at PRAGUE CASTLE at the SUMMER PALACE (KRALOVSKY LETOHRADEK) in the back of the Prague Castle Complex. Then we walk past the ORANGERY and BALL GAME HALL viewing the BLACK and the DALIBORKA TOWERS,  and across the moat to the main PRAGUE CASTLE grounds noting the Powder Tower. Just opposite the ARCHBISHOP’S PALACE we see the PRESIDENTIAL GUARDS and enter the 3 courtyards of the main Palace complex. We walk along the historicly important “HRADCANSKE” SQUARE and pass the STERNBERK and SCHWARZENBERG Palaces  In the 3rd courtyard we see the OLD PRIORY and have a quick look inside the most impressive CATHEDRAL OF ST.VITUS, VACLAV and VOJTECH. We then pass the convent and BASILICA OF ST. GEORGE and see it’s gorgeous TWIN TOWERS: ADAM and EVE .

Before leaving the castle complex we enjoy a great panorama of Prague and descend the steps to KLAROV. We reach the NERUDOVA STREET, one of the most historical streets rich in artistic symbols and signs, and find out it’s legends and mysteries. Next we arrive at the beautiful “MALOSTRANSKE” SQUARE and visit the magnificent baroque ST. MIKULAS CHURCH. After a tea/coffee break we are soon walking across CHARLES BRIDGE and find out it’s legends and impetuous history. The last tower we visit today will be the  EASTERN OLD TOWN TOWER of the bridge for a great panorama view from the very heart of Prague. Passing along the Royal Procession route (and all the tourist shops) we soon reach OLD TOWN SQUARE where we will see the main sites and churches of this wonderful complex of buildings from all centuries. Here we’ll visit the CHURCH OF OUR LADY BEFORE TYN that dominates one side of the square. The Gothic exterior houses a Baroque interior. TOUR 5: Prague’s “Wonder-Full” Statues Tour

Have you ever noticed the “still heroes” of the Prague streets? Most people don’t pay attention to these “wonder-full” bronze and stone sculptures that are just like the actors playing on the stage of the “Prague theatre” which are about to come to life! Welcome to the Legends and Sculpture Art World!  Discover over 15 “Wonder-Full” heroes on the prague’s wonderland stage (5 of the 15 sculptures done by the contemporary czech sculptor David Černý):

  • The two pissing men on the Czech Republic shape fountain, moving their butts and penises while writing famous quotations (interactive fountain which can be manipulated by sending SMSes)
  • The “Hanging Out” statue of Sigmund Freud from the top of the roof which appears to fall any second (be careful, don’t walk under it)
  • The girl with the swallow paper plain about to give it a fly
  • The Trabant Car with human legs walking in a garden called “Quo Vadis” meaning “Where Do you Go?”
  • The angelic woman sitting quietly on one of the houses in the Old Town
  • The legendary Mask of John Lennon and his wall of Fame
  • The “wonder-full” babies (100 kg each) walking on the grass near Vltava river and climbing the TV Tower, with stylized faces in shape of  ventilation cages.
  • The sitting  man on a bench who just noticed a touching urban life scene (one in the Old Town and another exact copy in the Lesser Quarter)
  • Franz Kafka sitting on a headless and handless man, inspired from Kafka’s early short story “Description of a Struggle” (weight: 700 kg)
  • Seminaked Bachus sitting on a bench with 2 other godesses and drinking wine
  • The eternal symbol of maternity: a mother feeding the child, seated on a bench in Old Town
  • “The scary Death statue” so-called by tourists, being the “Il Commendatore” seated figure from “Don Giovanni” Opera by Mozart
  • The young Adam and Eve tasting the forbidden fruit while seated on one of the benches of the Old Town
  • The dancers’ fountain with a very dynamic composition of 4 musicians and dancers symbolizing the unity of human  and water streams of the planet, all dancers personifiying the rivers: Gang, Amazon, Danube, Missisipy.
  •  Wenceslas’ hanging statue riding a dead inverted horse hanging in a theatre passage. A parody of the famous Josef Myslbek’s statue of St. Wenceslas on the Wenceslas’ Square.

TOUR 6: Prague Lesser Town (Mala Strana) below the Prague Castle

The Lesser Town was founded in 1257 on the slopes bellow the Prague castle and it is the part of Prague least affected by recent history. The walking tour starts at the steps in front of the RUDOLFINUM just near the Staromestska Tram Stop (17/18 Trams and near to the metro).

We start the tour at the finest concert hall in Prague: Antonin Dvorak’s Hall: RUDOLFINUM. Then we walk down to the KLEMENTINUM (the second largest Cultural Complex in Czech Republic) which includes the famous Mirror Chapel, and the Astronomical Tower where J. Kepler made his discoveries. Next we visit the OLD TOWN TOWER (Eastern Tower) of the CHARLES BRIDGE ; then we cross the CHARLES BRIDGE (the oldest in Prague and the single “Bridge – Art Gallery” in Czech Republic) until we reach the beautiful MALOSTRANSKE NAMESTI. Here we have a quick tea/coffee break before seeing the baroque ST.NICHOLAS CHURCH at MALA STRANA (the biggest church in Prague founded by Jesuits). Highlights include the dome fresco and the organ played by Mozart. Our walk along NERUDOVA STREET (named after the famous czech poet and journalist Jan Neruda) allows us to learn of the history and names of many of these old houses through the artistic symbols and decorative signs.  Next we head down Karmelitska Street stopping briefly to see the CHURCH OF OUR LADY VICTORIOUS (early Baroque Carmelite Order).  The church is famous for the Prague Bambino (the superstar of Prague catholic church), a wax figure of the infant Jesus with mystical healing power. We end the tour at the Monument to the victims of Communism and also have a view of the HUNGER WALL (1200 m long) that dominates the Petrin Hill. From here if you have more time and the weather is good you can take the funicular up to the PETRIN TOWER and park for a great Panorama of Prague.

TOUR 7: Art Nouveau (Jugendstil, Secession Art) Tour

    Art Nouveau Style in architecture appeared in Prague in the last quarter of the XIXth century being known under it’s various names: Jugendstil, Secession, early Art Deco. It’s motherland is supposed to be Vienna and it’s major representatives: Gustav Klimt and Otto Wagner who’ve defined it’s principles into a very controversial decorativist
conception which influenced later so much the mondial history of fine arts. Discover the fascinating Art Nouveau buildings and enjoy their sublime beauty with Damyan! 

      We start the tour at the elegant “TOPIC” Editions and “PRAHA” Assurance buildings near the NATIONAL THEATRE where we’ll eventually meet. After we’ll pass the ART DECO “ADRIA PALACE” and walk to the “U NOVAKU” commercial center designed by O. Polivka. Then we discover the “MERAN” and “GRAND HOTEL EUROPA” and later we arrive at the beautiful and unrestored yet “KAVARNA” cafe of the Main Railway Station. We admire the triumph of jewish Art Nouveau design in the “JERUSALEM” SYNAGOGUE in the Old Town and proceed to the unique “IMPERIAL” CAFE and HOEL with it’s amazing decoration with scenes of mythological inspiration . Next we gaze at the K+K “CENTRAL” HOTEL and arrive later to the biggest and notorious MUNICIPAL HOUSE, the main Art Nouveau building in Prague. After you’ll hear it’s history while walking through it’s spectacular authentic art Nouveau style halls, we’ll go on to the “PRAVDA” Restaurant apartment building in the jewish quarter with it’s unusual “Jugendstil” design with golden elements in contrast with rough dark facade. We’ll finish our tour in the pearl of Josefov quarter, the SPANISH SYNAGOGUE famous for it’s “wild” flamboyant decorative murals with modular composition of colourful decorative elements.

TOUR 8: Postmodern and Outstanding Design Buildings Tour

Discover the other side and spirit of Prague in it’s steel and glass made giants that rise between the traditional gothic “ships” that float in the Prague “bay” panorama for centuries. Hear the new melody of the revolutionary XXth century and it’s intricated rhythms expressed in the Minimalist, Deconstructivist, Structuralist and Futuristic Design buildings. Damyan will widen your horizons of knowledge about postmodern design and architecture, guiding you to 8 unique style buildings that will excite your imagination and creativity!


We’ll start the tour at the most “futuristic” metro stations of Prague: STATION STRIZKOV, famous for it’s original project and compositional conception. We continue to the TECHNICAL LIBRARY OF PRAGUE, important for it’s postmodernist design built after 2000; we proceed to the “PRAHA” HOTEL , an excellent example of modern czech architecture of the 1980s, originally exclusively constructed for accommodation of official state delegations. Then we head to the “RIVER CITY” of Prague, a very modern business district; and admire the “DANUBE” HOUSE , the “TITANIC” of the “River City”, famous for the sharpest corner angle construction in Prague, and it’s neighbour “NILL” HOUSE . Later we climb the highest building in Prague : ZIZKOV TV TOWER (216m), hear it’s story andenjoy the 360 grades panorama of Prague from the highest viewing ground. Next we go to the “oldest” of all buildings of this tour “CHURCH of the MOST SACRED HEART of OUR LORD” (1932), where modern design finds it’s inspiration from Early Christian basilicas and Egyptian temples. We finish the tour at the notorious “DANCING HOUSE” a controversial “duet”: Ginger covered with glass pannels leaning on concrete Fred dancing on the edge of the Vltava river bank.
